Challenge
An asset management firm desired to enter the Cote D'Azur market and required a strategy for entering same. Subsequently it required a sales office to be established.
Solution
The asset management firm has offices in Sweden, Switzerland and the Channel Islands with investment management, custodial and administrative services provided by renowned international firms. Analysis yielded favourable results to enter the desired market. A strategy was established whereby our client 1) using recognized institutions would be promoted; 2) would not compete with the established large banks and asset managers operating locally seeking high net worth individuals; and 3) would utilize its proprietary product as the underlying investment vehicle for tax related real estate and life insurance products. Further these products would be sold through a network of specialized commissioned agents rather than employed sales people.
Result
Succinct execution for entering a market by focusing on a target group, which generated strong results at a reduced capital expenditure.
